How to Improve Your IELTS Speaking Score in 4 Weeks

Want to boost your IELTS speaking score fast?

You don’t need to wait months. With the right plan, you can see real progress in just 4 weeks.

Week 1: Get familiar with the test
Watch IELTS Speaking test videos on YouTube. Notice how the test is structured—Part 1 (easy questions), Part 2 (long talk), and Part 3 (discussion).
Start answering simple questions like “What’s your favorite food?” or “Do you like music?” every day.

Week 2: Record yourself
Use your phone. Speak for 1–2 minutes on one topic. Then listen and ask:

  • Did I speak clearly?

  • Did I use good vocabulary?

  • Did I make grammar mistakes?
Write them down and try again.

Week 3: Add better vocabulary
Learn 5–10 new words or phrases each day. For example:
Instead of “very big,” say “huge” or “enormous.”
Instead of “I like it,” say “I’m really into it.”
Use them in your daily speaking practice.

Week 4: Practice with a real person
Find a speaking partner or tutor. Get feedback. Focus on fluency and confidence.
Don’t try to be perfect—just keep talking.

You don’t need perfect English. You need clear ideas and practice.
